The youngest and most affordable of New York’s Top Chef restaurants, Le Coucou gained enviable recognition right out the gate when the James Beard Awards christened it the Best New Restaurant in the U.S., in 2017.
It’s chef de cuisine, Daniel Rose, was born in Chicago but spent over 15 years training and operating in Paris before opening this, his first stateside eatery.
